Here's my little plot of space that I hope some things said, besides my recollection on the whole Axia saga... that I really need to get back to doing... *cough* Anyway!
I plan to just get out some character ideas that I've had a lot of fun with and hope that other people will enjoy. Also I'll add some hints and good rules of thumb when it comes to making character. This is something that Arc and Rina would like me to do and I can have fun with.
So here we go!

My first bit of advise would be to make sure that you are comfortable with the character you're playing. It just makes it easier to play a character if you're comfortable with it, makes sense right?
Examples: I've only had a male character once and that was in a random game where I didn't have a choice once I drew my card. I'm not a guy and I can't think like one, so I stick to what I know. If that means I'm not hardcore like I was told by someone, so be it but I stick to what I can do.
If you know me, you know that there isn't an evil bone in my body. So thinking like an evil person would be a stretch for me... which will be a real problem if I ever try DMing
Even with these limitation there's still a lot of choices, it's all about what you want to do with the character. Try and pick a personality first before then build the character around that. That's what I usually do.

The other side to that coin is getting comfortable and never doing anything else. These are games of adventure people expand and grow, try new things. It gets frustrating when a person playing the same kind of character over and over... All of them are just like the over and then no one can or will remember them. Usually in these cases the person focus on one ability of the character and over uses it not even playing the character to their full potental... What a crime...

Here's something I came up with for my character Lilera.
She has quite a bit going on in her life and sometime has trouble admitting things to herself. You know like actually admitting that she's in love, you know those little things...
So to deal with the multiple things she was struggling with at a time I had it so that she had little chibi's running around inside her head. It's like her own personal little committee. The number of chibi's depends on how many things she's worrying about and what's going on. And they're able to change as well, heres how it's been working with Lilera.
Lilera met Areo grew to like him but wouldn't admit it, so the original set was four chibi's with only one who liked Areo. It later changed to one hated Areo, two tried to stay neutral and the last was completely in love with him. After meeting the captain of the assassins she went up to 5 chibi's one of with thought he was better than Areo. Now I believe she's up to six, three that like Areo in varying degrees, one still completely in love with him, one obsessed with honor and the last resembling her demon form.
It can be a lot of fun. Sometimes when I don't know what side she'd listen to I just roll a die which leads to interesting situations. Example: After finally being reunite with Areo and going through a huge battle they finally get to be alone and talk. So I roll to see who in charge of what she would say 1 was for the obsessed chibi and 4 for the not really caring... I roll a one. Which leads to Areo: So.... Lilera: I love you. Areo: Holding that one back much?
Go ahead give it a try!
