The Battle for Peace River: Heavy Gear - PointCon

This will be a heavy gear game taking place in roughly the same sort of setting as the one from PointCon 2004. The details are fuzzy as of yet, but I plan to use some young, green troops and some old, hardcore war veterans for player characters. The game will be RPG based with a tactical aspect, relating to the war at hand. I'll get the Background up in a bit.

The players will play very small squads of prototype Gear Pilots who are struggling to save peace river from the grasp of three other forces...

Peace River supplies their troops with advanced gears and fully backs their own machines. tactics will follow this post later. The theme is that the citizens of Peace River are far outnumbered. A biological weapon released by the CEF decimated the majority of the population of Peace River, breaking the hearts of the players and reducing their manpower by half. Now they must fight off the encroaching forces.

Either I will assist the players in creating basic characters on gameday, or I'll do Pregens. If I do Pegens, they'll probably be photocopies out of the book, modified slightly. Post any suggestions.

FlexiPreGen Characters

FPGs are my concept for pregenerated characters that players can manipulate a little before the game after consulting the GM. The GM will have several FPGs types ready that deterimine base attributes and main skills, but the players may choose from lists to make their characters more unique.

This is what I'll be doing for the HG Peace River Game for PointCon 2005. I'll post the FPGs in a moment.
