Here, we're going to create the Phylums which mortal creatures will stem from. I'm going to list some ideas that I think are neccesary either in their mortal decendents, or in their immortal ancestors. these terms have to be extremely widebased and must be seen in many aspects, not just a handfull of creatures.

Humanoids
Beasts (?)
Ethereal (?)
Fae
Undead
Infusions (Magical)
Constructs (Possible but not plausible)
Elemental

Another thing to think about is the races that dwell in the Outer Planes nearer the Gods themselves. I think it would be possible and highly likely in this case for these "angels" to be simply "ascended" versions of other races.

Angelus:
Axiom (creatures made of law)
Anarch (creatures made of chaos)
Divinus (creatures of good)
Daemonus (creatures of evil)
